Mr Barker is also a founder of Ark Therapeutics, a publicly listed gene therapy focussed biotechnology company, representing one of the first ‘spin-outs’ from University College London. He is a Consultant Surgeon and academic with particular interests in venous disease, aortic surgery, hernia surgery and surgery of the diabetic limb.
